MEET THE NURTURED TEAM

McKenzie Ramirez Harris, RDN, LDN, CEDS

Owner, Registered Dietitian, & Certified Eating Disorder Specialist

Specialties:

Eating Disorders, Sports Nutrition, Family Education, General Wellness, Substance Abuse Nutrition, Emotional Eating, Unhealthy Relationships with Food and Exercise, Intuitive Eating, & More

McKenzie believes in a ‘Health at Every Size’ approach. She considers herself an “anti-diet” dietitian, so if you’re fed up with diets, she’s your girl! Her approach stems from the philosophy that “all foods fit”- meaning that all foods fit in balance, variety, and moderation.

McKenzie has experience with clients ranging from adolescent to adult, including families, wanting to improve their relationship with food and their bodies. She aims to create a safe place for people of any body shape, size, ethnic identity, and sexual identity. A graduate of the best university in the world, Texas A&M University, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences and Dietetics. She also completed a clinical dietetic internship through Texas A&M (meaning that she bleeds maroon - WHOOP!)

McKenzie’s mission as a clinician is to provide professional, warm, compassionate individualized nutrition therapy to help her clients rebuild and nurture a healthy relationship with food.

McKenzie is a born and raised Texan and an Enneagram Type 2 with a 3 wing. When not working, McKenzie spends time with her loved ones, walking Millie (hopefully future therapy dog for the Nurtured office), enjoying joyful movement, and hopefully eating her way around the world.

McKenzie is excited to get to know you and how we can bring joy back to food!

Facing healthcare decisions, whether for yourself or a loved one, can be a challenging journey, and I truly understand the vulnerability it brings. As you choose the support team for your dietary journey, it is important to explore the different personalities, specialties, and counseling styles of various clinicians. So allow me to share a snapshot of who I am – the person ready to sit across the couch and support you wholeheartedly.

In a nutshell, as a dietitian and person, I am all about my family, my sidekick Millie (the dog), staying active, doing some meaningful work, and of course, savoring tasty food while enjoying all of the good that life has to offer! My style of nutrition counseling is extremely person-centered and I will always enter any conversation through an empathetic and relatable place with firm (but loving) boundaries.

It would be an honor to get to know you and walk this journey with you as a trusted member of your treatment team. If you would like to learn more about my style as a dietitian, please reach out for a FREE Discovery Call today! 🌟

In a nutshell.
